The Halstead microswitch assembly gives the appliance the ability to perform specific actions dependent on certain stimuli. The microswitch in a hydraulic diverter valve is activated when a tap that is connected to the system is also turned on. The microswitch then sends a notification to the electronic control, letting it know that more hot water is needed and that the procedure for heating water should be enabled.
