The Halstead microswitch gives the appliance the ability to perform certain actions dependent on specific criteria. The microswitch in a hydraulic diverter valve, for example, is switched on when a tap that is connected to the system is activated. The microswitch then sends a notification message to the printed circuit board (PCB), letting it know that more hot water is needed and that the procedure for heating water should be activated. There are many models of microswitch dependent on their location and what mechanism they are attached to.
